So I know we all have bought things that at first we were excited about, then we get it home and it's a NO. I COMPLETELY felt that way about Mac's Siss Lipstick. I use it because I bought it but it's NOTHING like what I thought it was going to be. I was hoping that I could achieve the nude lip without looking like I just ate a box of powdered doughnuts. I ABSOLUTELY adore TheSPNation on the YT, but this was not a good recommendation from him. Actually to be honest, I've come to realize that I CAN'T do the Nude lip trend. It just doesn't work out for me. I can't even say that this a pretty lip color to be honest. It just DOESN'T do it for me. I have to do soooo much to this lipstick to even make it work and I was determined to make this trend work for me too. Ugh...well you win some and you lose some lol. You can do a nude lip! You just have to find the right color + gloss combo! I bought Siss as well.. horrible decision seeing as it almost the same color as my skin it completely washes me out
ReplyDeleteYou know what's funny, after I did this post I decided to give Siss another try. And Siss did the opposite of what it does to me to you. But after I gave it another try I got on this whole nude lip kick. But I keep misplacing my chestnut lip liner and it's ticking me off lol. I still don't really like Siss but it's more like I paid for it so I'm going to find a way to rock it. Some days I like it and the other days it's blah. But I have learned that I can do a nude lip. That made me happy lol!
ReplyDeleteSiss worked great for me when I used the Chestnut lip liner to darken the shade to match my complexion. Alone, Siss DID make me look like I ate a box of powered doughnuts.
