Yea, yea, yea. I know. I'm late as hell, but hey it's better late then never right. Anyway my sister got the cd's for Christmas so I copied them onto my computer. After listening to them, I said I could give a review.
First Up....Diddy-Dirty Money. Ahhhh how do I put this.....the album has the potential (keyword being potential) to be epic. There's just one MAJOR problem: DIDDY. This guy is PATHETIC. The beats on this album are crazy. There's NOTHING out like this right, heck even Swizz stepped up his game. But Diddy completely defeats the music, in my opinion. I mean you'll be listening to the song jamming to the beats and then Diddy brings his no rapping and even worst singing ass on the track. I'll give you a prime example, "Ass on the Floor" is without a doubt one of the Best tracks on the album (they sucked performing it live but it goes hard on the cd). Dawn and Kaleena aren't bad they can carry a tune, but I've noticed that Diddy made Kaleena dumb down her voice so that she won't overshadow Dawn. Even Swizz's little part isn't bad, heck his part gets you hype. Then Diddy comes on the track to rap and you're like WTF. This becomes a repeat for the entire album. Then for the ones that are basically just him, it's a waste of a good beat. I shouldn't have to ignore your voice on the song for it to be good. That's just NOT going to happen. So should you buy it....HELL NO. Is it worth a listen....Yes. The beats are crazy on the cd, it's just missing the vocal talent or rather should exclude the talentless from the album.
Next up is the ever so crazy Nicki Minaj....hence my reasoning for picking this picture....ahh I digress.
Now I actually think Nicki is pretty catchy. When they first started pushing her music, I thought her voice was annoying as hell, but she's grown on me. Once again I got the album around Christmas, because Kanye West is the ONLY artist that will get my hard earned money, so I've heard how the album was garbage. My opinion....It's ok. I've heard worst. #1 I've already heard most of the tracks off of the album. So if half of the tracks being on the radio equates to garbage...that's news to me. Secondly, I was expecting some REAL trash, Soulja Boy level trash (I do have a natural Disdain for him, so don't expect anything positive about this idiot). Like I said it was O.K., not good but just O.K.. I think what threw a lot of people off was the fact that she's singing. What the Hell Nicki? You can't have a track like Roman's Revenge on there and then turn around with a song singing about how your feelings equate to the bass in a guy's car. That's a bit much. I mean the songs would actually be ok if she DIDN'T sing a damn hook on everything. Anytime you make Rihanna actually sound like a singer....something's wrong. She doesn't sound bad, but she's not good either. It just doesn't make any sense. Stick to what you're good at....rap. Soooo should you buy this....DEFINITE HELL NO. Should you listen to it.....you've already heard it on the radio and they'll probably play the rest of there too so don't worry.
